APPLE CORNBREAD STUFFING WITH WALNUTS

Cornbread Stuffing

INGREDIENTS

(Serves 8-10)

    • 9×13″ pan of Cornbread, cooled and cut into 3/4″ pieces
    • 1/4 pound Butter
    • 4 medium Apples, large dice
    • 1 1/4 cup Walnuts, halved and toasted
    • 2-3 sticks of Celery, diced
    • 1/2 cup Onion, diced
    • 1/3 tsp of Thyme
    • 1 pinch of Salt
    • 3/4 cup Apple Juice
    • 3/4 cup Apple Cider

DIRECTIONS

  1. Sauté the Onion and Celery in Butter
  2. Once soft, add the Cornbread, Apples, and Walnuts
  3. Add the Apple Juice and Apple Cider to moisten – use less if you prefer a dry stuffing
  4. Season with Thyme and Salt
  5. Stuff into turkey

  6. Spread the mixture evenly in a baking dish
  7. Bake uncovered until the top is golden brown, about 35 to 40 minutes
  8. Remove to a wire rack and let cool for at least 5 minutes before serving
